Where two origins became one single cuisine
Antonio came from Galicia, Elsa from Mulazzo: they met in Lausanne and in 1977 they opened El Caracol. Today their son Gianmarco and Federica run the kitchen, and the grandchildren look after the dining room. On the menu, the paella and the Polpo alla Gallega sit alongside testaroli and torta d'erbi.

Since 1977 El Caracol has brought to the table a story made of hospitality, handed-down recipes and flavours that unite Spanish identity and local tradition. Our paella is the symbol of this story, to be experienced in an authentic setting overlooking the valley.
A peaceful retreat in the heart of Lunigiana
Eight rooms above the restaurant, seven doubles and one single, overlooking Mulazzo. Breakfast included, free Wi-Fi and parking. Walk downstairs and you're at the table.
